Biomes



4 major biomes in Canada
Grassland:
Grasslands are areas where there is loads of grass and other non-wood plants.
Boreal Forest:
Taiga or Boreal Forest, is the world's largest land biome, and makes up 29% of the world's forest cover. Basically a forest biome.
Temperate forest:
This includes Birch, Beech, Maple, Oak Hickory, Sycamore, Elm, Ash, Willow and Cottonwood trees.
Usually mammals in habitat. Your casual forest.  
Tundra:
Tundra is a biome where the tree growth is slowed by low temperatures and short growing seasons.
